January 19–29: Ancient Eternian Runes! With the Gemstones gone, strange Runes have started manifesting across the region—but they only reveal themselves in the heat of battle. From January 19–29, keep your eyes on the battlefield: Runes may flare into existence during Pokemon battles, attracting strange and rare Pokemon to the battlefield!  A huge thanks again to Sky for donating to make this happen! Reminder: as before, this is a limited-time phenomenon. Runes will stop appearing after January 29, so get battling while you can! For Pokemon Trainers who have managed to unlock Ruins of Alph (Chamber), a slew of new legendary & mythical Pokemon have invaded the area! With this invasion, many paranormal Pokemon have taken note and shifted the landscape of the Chamber, revealing many new mysteries... December 21: Seillib's Winter Wonder Event!  The Seillib's Winter Wonder Event has begun—check out the forum post for most details! This event will last for one week. Good luck, and Merry Christmas!! December 17: Credential Stuffing PSA Please be advised that a user on the site (Prime) compromised a bunch of old accounts by reusing passwords leaked from past data breaches on other sites/apps (like Reddit, Twitter, Yahoo, etc). If you share a password with other sites, we highly recommend updating your password, especially if you've reused the same password for many years. The user in question made various trades and sales from these accounts. Many of the trades were automatically reversed - if so, you will have received a PM with details. If you exchanged money or other things for the Pokemon, or otherwise believe the reversal was mistaken, please message ★ Cless with details so it can be reversed. If you paid with Platinum Coins, let Cless know if you'd prefer either 1) a refund of the PCs, or 2) the Pokemon back (may or may not be possible). Pokemon that were given for free do not qualify. Note that Eclipse itself was NOT compromised. If you don't reuse passwords with other sites, you are safe. The attacker used a technique known as Credential Stuffing - credential stuffing is a technique where hackers use lists of stolen usernames and passwords (from other breaches) to automatically "stuff" into login forms on different websites, hoping to find accounts where users reused the same credentials. In other words, *any* site that uses passwords is vulnerable to this attack. We recommend using a password manager such as 1Password, Bitwarden, or iCloud Keychain on all sites to mitigate this. You can peruse Have I Been Pwned to check if your personal data (passwords, emails, etc) has been exposed in known data breaches. If you believe your Eclipse account was a victim of this attack, again please reach out to ★ Cless or email us at appeals@eclipserpg.net. December 14: Whirl Islands!  The cold weather has angered OmegaLugia, and it's blown away Burned Tower! Trainers have been warned against traveling in the southern sea, but if you have what it takes, venture out into the Whirl Islands and track down the source of OmegaLugia's wrath! Because of the treacherous conditions, trainers are only able to withstand the dangers of the violent rapids and winds for a limited time. Therefore, for the duration of Whirl Islands, the clicks on this map will be limited to 1/300k per week (beginning today).         A huge thanks to Vikalu, Flare, Toxzilla, Boomer, Prime, Otter, Blink, Wacro, and PlagueDoctor for banding together to bring this map event to fruition! December 2025: Exclusive Donator Avatars!    The Exclusive Avatars for December 2025 are HyperGlacialHoothoot, HyperGlacialGrowlithe, and HyperGlacialSlugma! All donators who donate $25 or more in December will earn these avatars for free! The avatars are permanently and automatically added to your Avatar Collection. They are available for December only, then they will be unobtainable.   Furthermore, if you donate $50 or more during December, you'll also receive HyperNovaTapuLele and HyperNovaTapuFini avatars! Thanks so much to Kora for this month's avatars! A new selection of Pokemon can be restored from all classes of ??? DNAs: maps, battles, mines, chat, and Daily Prize DNAs! A big thanks once again to Kora for preparing this update! Tip: ??? DNAs are a mysterious type of Pokemon DNA found randomly while searching the Legendary Areas, battling, mining, or chatting on the cbox. They can also be earned from Daily Prize chests. Visit the DNA Center to restore DNAs — you require 3 DNAs of a particular type to restore a Pokemon back to life. |
